Scotland 2019 basecamp is inshriach house, AN EDWARDIAN STYLE SHOOTING LODGE BUILT in 1906 ON GROUNDS OF 200 ACRES OF NATURAL WOODLAND AND PASTURE AT THE BASE OF THE CAIRNGORMS.
Inshriach is a family home but retains much of its Edwardian atmosphere with dark panelling, open fires, period furniture and a big farmhouse kitchen.
You may find yourself sleeping in Mrs. Black’s room, Mr. George’s room, the French maid’s room or in the old servants quarters. Down on the farm the old chicken sheds now house the Inshriach Distillery, Saloon bar and inconvenience store. Made famous back in 2015 when it won Channel 4’s Shed of the Year competition it is now the house of the celebrated Inshraich Gin.

Spread out over 20 acres alongside the river Spey, each of them has been designed to take two people right back to nature.
The Yurt x 2
Victorian double bed and a woodburner and sits looking out across the Spey to the Monadliath mountains. Another similar yurt has been added to the estate last year.
The Shepherd's Hut
This Swedish inspired shepherd’s hut is super comfortable and very charming. Is close to the River Spey if you fancy a wild dip.
The Beer Moth
A 1954 Commer fire Service lorry converted into luxurious camping for two. It is equipped with a victorian double bed, a woodburner and a parquet floor.
Partly funded by the Royal Scottish Academy, this diminutive (yet deceptively spacious) modernist interpretation of a bothy spends half its year as an artists residency.
riverside horse box SAUNA and trailer HOT TUB
A wood fired sauna and the hot tub. Less than a mile from the house, down by the River Spey for our wild river swimming icebreaker of all icebreakers.
